The Materiality of Social, Environmental and Corporate Governance Issues to Equity Pricing

24 June, 2004 | New York, USA The was hosted by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan to mark the fourth anniversary of the creation of the Compact. The is a set of voluntary principles, launched in 2000, for business covering environmental, human rights and labour issues. A tenth principle on corruption was added at the Summit. At the Summit, UNEP FI and a group of 12 fund managers from the UNEP FI Asset Management Working Group launched a new report, “The Materiality of Social, Environmental and Corporate Governance Issues to Equity Pricing(PDF: 1.1 MB), which calls on investors, government and business leaders to embed environmental, social, and governance best practice at the heart of our markets.
